Top Luxury Car of the Year: Ram 1500 Limited & Laramie Longhorn
From stylish sedans to SUVs that feel like sitting on a leather sofa, luxury comes in lots of shapes and sizes. For the first time, a truck stands above the rest. The Ram 1500 Limited and Laramie Longhorn® trims have been named Cars.com’s Top Luxury Car of the Year. To show drivers in Brockton, Randolph, and Stoughton, MA what these premium pickups have to offer, Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram 24 takes a closer look at what helped the Ram 1500 earn this award.
Both the Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn® and Limited offer lots of power under the hood. However, on top of these capable engines, you’ll find chrome accents, trim specific badging, and helpful exterior accessories.
Each trim level includes 20-inch wheels and shiny chrome door handles, side mirrors, and window linings. They also offer excellent visibility with LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights.
The Laramie Longhorn® trim has a bright grille with chrome bars running horizontally across it. Below that, there’s a pair of matching chrome tow hooks. This sets the stage for a set of chrome side steps the run the length of the pickup truck. The trim name is proudly displayed on a pair of badges on both of the front panels.
The Ram 1500 Limited has a chrome border around a darker grille. It keeps the chrome tow hooks and mirrors caps, but replaces the chrome running boards with a convenient set of power running boards. It also has its own trim badges.
Classy & Comfortable Cabin
Leather seats and wood interior accents come standard in both the Ram 1500 Limited and Laramie Longhorn®. During your drive, you’ll be in control of a wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The trim specific badging continues too. Each trim’s name and logo is stamped on the passenger’s side, just above the glove box.
For a more comfortable ride, front bucket seats come standard, while a full-length center console lets you relax, store valuables inside, and keep your favorite drinks by your side. To warm you and your passengers up in the winter, heated seats come standard in both rows. Ventilated front seats also come standard to help you cool off on a hot day.
Accessible Infotainment System
From the instrument cluster to the dashboard, both Ram 1500 trims features lots of technology. Each one includes a 7-inch color screen for the instrument cluster. The infotainment system dominates the dashboard and lets you use several features at once.
The Longhorn Laramie features an 8.4-inch screen, while the Limited comes with a 12-inch display. Both systems include Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™. On top of their standard smartphone compatibility, they’ll give you lots of music to choose from with SiriusXM® Radio. Plus, you’ll always be able to find the fastest route with the Uconnect® 4C NAV system. It features turn by turn directions and shows you your route in real time.
The great thing about all that screen space is that you can use a few features at the same time. For example, you can look up what song is playing while keeping a map of your route up at all times.
