July 17th, 2017 by

There’s nothing better than a good Saturday night party. Dancing, drinks, hors d’oeuvres… What more could you ask for? Well, how about all that, plus a great cause.

The inaugural Dress for the Cause & Stomp It Out Benefit is sure to be one of the most exciting parties of the summer. Check out this guide to see how you can get involved.

The Shindig

  • When: Saturday, July 29, 2017
  • Where: The Shaw’s Center, Brockton, MA
  • What Time:8:00 PM to 12:00 AM

As the opening Dress for the Cause & Stomp It Out Benefit for Sickle Cell Disease, this party is sure to be one to remember. With guest speaker Dima Hendricks and DJ Nasty Mixx at the helm, there’ll be as much to learn as there is to enjoy.

While the purpose of this benefit is of course to educate patients, caregivers, and the public about the struggles of sickle cell disease and the ways in which we can fight them, partygoers need to have a bit of fun, too!

In addition to food and drinks, attendees can enjoy music, dancing, poetry, photography, and much more.

The Cause

Above Greatness Events and Just For You have partnered up with the Greater Boston Sickle Cell Disease Association (GBSCDA) to ensure that this event is as informative as it is fun. They’ve promised to donate 50% of all ticket sales to the GBSCDA for further sickle cell research.

Of course, awareness is just as important as research. If you haven’t personally been touched by this disease in your life, you may not understand just how destructive it can be. The Dress for the Cause & Stomp It Out Benefit was arranged specifically so that the public can learn how we can fight this horrible disease as a community.
