Performance and Power

If you're looking for a powerhouse, the new Ram 1500 delivers. This powerful truck comes in several trims, including the Limited, Rebel, Laramie, Big Horn, and Tradesman trims. Choose from four diversified engines, all of which feature the TorqueFlite® 8-speed automatic transmission that makes the changes you need with each shift of the gears.

The standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine with eTorque produces 305 horsepower with 269 lb-ft of torque for more than standard capability. It provides amazing fuel economy, too, with an EPA-estimated 20 city/25 highway MPG. For additional heft and efficiency, select the available 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine. It produces 260 horsepower and a massive 480 lb-ft of torque.

Ram's highest-achieving engine is their optional 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine, either with or without eTorque. They both produce 395 horsepower with 410 lb-ft of torque, giving you legendary strength you can rely on for extreme towing jobs.

Hauling and Towing Capacity

If you need a truck with incredible hauling and towing capability, the Ram 1500 gives you two mighty engines to choose from. You can choose the optional 3.0L EcoDiesel, which allows you to tow a maximum of 12,560 pounds when properly equipped.

If you need even more power, pick the 5.7L HEMI® with eTorque. With the proper equipment, this engine will allow you to tow a maximum of 12,750 pounds.

For even more towing perks, why not add the Max Tow Package to the Laramie, Tradesman, or Bighorn trim with the Quad Cab? With this package, you'll receive the Class IV receiver hitch, power trailer tow mirrors with manual foldaway, and the integrated trailer brake controller.

However, we should note that you don't need to upgrade your ride to experience some awesome towing perks. Even at its base level, the Ram 1500 with its standard 3.6L engine nets an impressive 7,730 pounds of maximum towing capacity when properly equipped.

Towing Technology and Safety

With the available 360° Surround View Camera, you can hook up your trailer with confidence. It provides a clear view of every angle, thus allowing you to see what's in your way before you proceed. This can be viewed on the enormous and vivid 12-inch touchscreen featuring Uconnect® 12.0 with Navigation, an available upgrade of the standard 5-inch display.

To protect the sides of your 1500 and the attached trailer, the available Blind Spot Monitoring system with Rear Cross Path Detection watches those areas to ensure that they're clear. The system intuitively senses the length of the trailer and makes those accommodations to monitor according to the size.

That's not all. Electronic Stability Control-which helps keep control of the brakes and engine power-is equipped on all 1500 trims, as is Electronic Roll Mitigation.
