While this is the only engine available on the Compass, the Cherokee offers two additional options.

First is the 2.0L Turbo engine, which provides 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, with an impressive 4,000 pounds of towing capacity, with the right configuration. You can also opt for the 3.2L Pentastar® V6 engine, with 271 horsepower, 239 lb-ft of torque, and a towing capacity of 4,500 pounds when properly equipped. This motor also features Engine Stop/Start technology, which turns the engine off when stopped to help with efficiency.

Both SUVs also feature multiple drive modes and features. The Compass has an available Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 system to help take you from on to off the road without missing a beat. The Cherokee also features a Jeep Active Drive 4x4 System as well as the available Jeep Active Drive II for an extra level of power at low speeds.

When it comes to interior comforts, both the Compass and the Cherokee feature available seating for up to five passengers. Both also offer interior comforts, like Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control, an available heated steering wheel, and available heated front seats.
